After the tragic event that took the lives of three Virginia football players, their head coach explained the nightmare their community is living in.
Tony Elliot, head coach of the University of Virginia football team, entered a conference on Tuesday with Virginia's athletic director to express condolences and give any details he could.
Elliot has had previous former players pass when he was an assistant coach at Clemson. He explained this situation is different because these were three active players who were killed by a former Virginia football player.
One player, Mike Hollins Jr. is recovering from gunshot wounds and another student is also recovering. The victims include starting wide receiver Lavel Davis Jr., reserve wide receiver Devin Chandler and Linebacker D'Sean Perry.
