Seattle advancing through the playoffs after a shocking game 2
By The Associated Press

The Seattle Mariners have experienced the longest drought of a playoff berth of a professional American sports team. Their last playoff appearance was in 2001.
In the best-of-three wild-card series, the Mariners swept the Toronto Blue-Jays and will go on to face the Astros in the second playoff series. Game one led to a 4-0 victory over the Blue-Jays while game two was much more exciting.
Toronto got off to a quick start, scoring eight runs in the first five innings. The Mariners made the biggest road comeback win in playoff history and baseball's largest comeback to lead to a victory in the postseason.
Houston has the best record in MLB's American League with 106 wins and 56 losses, while the Mariners trail the Astros in their division with a record of 90-72.
